    1. Braemar Castle is open from Easter to October and has 12 furnished rooms on show. It’s a unique Scottish castle with a fascinating history, a bottle neck dungeon and ghosts galore. It is now run by the local community who are raising funds to restore the castle and provide an even better and more comfortable experience for visitors. (And there’s a lollipop for children who count all the castle teddies!)
