Abbotsford is just 2 miles from Melrose in the heart of the Scottish Borders.
Travellign on the A68, take the A6091 Melrose Bypass, heading north towards Galashiels.
Turn left at the second roundabout onto the B6360.
Car Parking facilities can be found 1/4 mile on the left opposite Abbotsford.
As well as seeing around the rooms of Abbotsford, visitors can also visit the Private Chapel which was built in 1855, after Scotts death, by his granddaughter Charlotte, and her husband James Hope-Scott
