The Motion Picture Production Code (aka the Hays Code) spelled out what was acceptable and what was unacceptable content for motion pictures produced for a public audience in the United States. It became rigidly enforced by 1934. Not all films survived this rule of censorship, and many were destroyed. This is a list of what had survived this era of debating decency.
