  • FEAR Crossfire performance improves as much as 16% on the ATI Radeon X1950 XTX, ATI Radeon™ X1650 XT, ATI Radeon HD 2400 series and ATI Radeon X1300/X1550 series

While the good people at Extreme Tech found that the improvements did not quite live up to the outlandish claims, there was a significant performance jump as much as 13% – 19% in the best cases. Considering that their prices are substantially lower, could this latest driver package actually persuade budget conscious buyers to abandon Nvidia? It will be interesting to find out.

Apple – 1.1.1, Hax0rs- 1.6

iBrck owners the cell phone gods are smiling on you. iPhoneSimFree has just announced SimFree v1.6 which will allow bricked owners to fully repair and restore their phones. Furthermore, it will allow new iPhone buyers that have the iPhone 1.1.1 software to unlock their phones. Good news for everyone. I wonder how the three people in the process of launching frivolous lawsuits are feeling right now.Take note people, this is going to be a cat and mouse game. Apple will probably brick everyone again and it will go back and forth until they get tired of it and finally call it a day. If you are going to unlock your phone, keep a spare handy, get used to periodic brickings and don’t worry so much.
